In recent years, the pharmaceutical health industry has jumped to become the fourth pillar industry in the province. According to statistics, in 2014, the economic scale of the medical and health industry in Jilin Province increased by 39.6% year-on-year. In the next five years, the province will focus on the development of 15 to 20 kinds of commonly used traditional Chinese medicines in the province, and establish 50 to 80 standardized production bases for Chinese herbal medicines.
