The Outline of Chinese Medicine Development Strategy Plan (2016-2030) proposes to “promote ‘Internet+’ Chinese medicine.” Not long ago, the Chinese Acupuncture Society invited experts to discuss the theme of “Internet + Acupuncture and Moxibustion” in Rizhao, Shandong. Experts attending the conference believe that Chinese medicine acupuncture is highly inclusive and can be combined with many fields. Using Internet technology to connect the advantages of large hospitals with primary medical institutions, and to explore the rules of diagnosis and treatment through big data research, the effect of acupuncture with individual as the core can be realized.

An Internet-initiated medical revolution

Acupuncture is widely accepted as the most representative category in Chinese medicine. With the success of Chinese acupuncture and moxibustion, many countries have established acupuncture academic groups, acupuncture educational institutions and research institutions, and acupuncture has become more prominent in the world's medical forests. Let ancient Chinese acupuncture and moxibustion go hand in hand with the times, and it has always been the common pursuit of people in the acupuncture industry.

Liu Baoyan, the chief researcher of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and the president of the Chinese Acupuncture Association, has been promoting the modernization of acupuncture and internationalization for many years. He believes that acupuncture is constantly blending with modern Western medicine with its unique way of thinking and practical value. It originates from the high degree of inclusiveness of traditional Chinese medicine and can be combined with many fields.

This year's "Chinese Medicine Development Strategy Planning Outline (2016-2030)" and "Traditional Chinese Medicine Development "13th Five-Year Plan" have listed "Internet + Chinese Medicine" as an important content. It also emphasized the need to vigorously develop new medical service models such as TCM telemedicine, mobile medical care, and smart medical care. "This has added great confidence to our acupuncturists. We hope to use the good policies of the country to promote the field of acupuncture and moxibustion, and build an "Internet +" innovation-assisted project centered on Chinese medicine acupuncture talents and technology." Liu Baoyan said.

“As a pilot unit of the 2016 Innovation Driven Assistance Project identified by the China Association for Science and Technology, we have strengthened our collaborative innovation around the country's major strategic layout and regional key industries.” Wen Biling, deputy secretary general of the Chinese Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and director of the academic department, introduced The Institute has carried out cooperation with acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine with Rizhao Science and Technology Association of Shandong Province, exploring the development model of acupuncture and moxibustion on the Internet platform, aiming to provide new strengths for local economic transformation and find new growth points for the innovation and development of the society.

“Hai Na Baichuan, let Chinese medicine acupuncture combined with more fields, can fully demonstrate the characteristics of acupuncture.” Gao Shuzhong, vice president of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, believes that the innovation and inheritance process of contemporary acupuncture and moxibustion cannot be separated from the support of the Internet platform.

In this regard, Sheng Xiaolie, director of the China Science and Technology Advisory Service Center, said that traditional medicine is on the fast track of the Internet, not a revolution in technology, machinery and equipment, but a change in the way of thinking and thinking. He suggested establishing a set of evaluation criteria systems and codes of conduct that accommodate acupuncture itself.

Acupuncture and moxibustion is indispensable for big data support

"Chinese medicine is a medical system for individualized diagnosis and treatment. Individualized technology and big data technology are the two major technical directions in the future." Liu Baoyan said that the construction of TCM big data resource platform, the establishment of data standards and sharing management systems, the provision of data and The use of supporting services and other aspects can effectively bring out the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and bring opportunities for discovering the unique laws of traditional Chinese medicine.

Yang Jun, former dean of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, strongly agreed with Liu Baoyan's point of view. He believes that the use of the Internet to create acupuncture and moxibustion hospitals is inseparable from the big data analysis platform.

In 2014, the Chinese Medicine Data Center of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was established. Liu Baoyan, who is also the director of the center, said that the wide application of big data will bring "great value" to the development of Chinese medicine. He said, "through the big data research to find the rules and knowledge system behind the diagnosis and treatment of Chinese medicine. On the platform of TCM clinical research information sharing system, doctors sorted and converted massive clinical data, and found the clinical practice of TCM through statistical analysis and data mining. The experience reveals the rules of diagnosis and treatment, evaluates clinical efficacy, and thus generates new knowledge and effectively guides clinical practice."

Liu Baoyan introduced that in the future, it will promote the large scientific plan for acupuncture and moxibustion, establish a national laboratory for acupuncture, actively carry out international multi-center clinical evaluation research, and provide evidence of acupuncture efficacy with big data.

The era of "Acupuncture Cloud Hospital" has arrived

In the era of "Internet + Chinese Medicine" and "Big Data + Traditional Chinese Medicine", the intervention of big data will bring great changes to the research of Chinese medicine. In fact, some parts of the country have begun to try first and achieve the transformation of Internet scientific and technological achievements.

In December 2015, Zhejiang Health Plan Student agreed to establish the Zhejiang Internet Hospital in Zhejiang Tongde Hospital to kick off the “Internet Medical” for public hospitals in the province.

Huang Qiang, director of the Internet Hospital Information Center of Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province, said, “We have taken advantage of the combination of Chinese and Western medicine in our hospital, relying on the medical resources of the hospital, and through the Internet hospital platform, the whole process of pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, post-diagnosis and daily health has been realized. Management, establish an orderly classification, grading diagnosis and treatment mechanism."

Huang Qiang said that the Internet Hospital focuses on patients with chronic diseases, mental illnesses and geriatric diseases. "For patients who return to the clinic, doctors can retrieve the information, check the medical history and medical records, and diagnose online. Patients who want to see Chinese medicine, use pulse recorders, tongue coating recorders, etc. at home, and let doctors look at the other end of the network. ”

“Acupuncture Cloud Hospital” will change the existing acupuncture service process and become a collaborative acupuncture medical and health management platform integrating health big data collection, health management, medical treatment and rehabilitation services,” said Yang Jun.
