Since the implementation of the law on traditional Chinese medicine one year ago, the construction of the legal system of traditional Chinese medicine has stepped on the accelerator, constantly "activating" the supply capacity of traditional Chinese medicine services and bringing many benefits to the people. In addition, traditional Chinese medicine has also strided forward to the world stage and made new contributions to the protection of human health.The law on traditional Chinese medicine consists of nine chapters and sixty-three articles, with the principle of protecting, supporting and developing traditional Chinese medicine, following the law of development of traditional Chinese medicine, focusing on inheriting and carrying forward traditional Chinese medicine, stressing the responsibility of the government for the development of traditional Chinese medicine.Since the implementation of the law on traditional Chinese medicine, the author has personally felt the continuous expansion of the overall scale of traditional Chinese medicine, and the continuous improvement of its development level and service capacity. As of mid-june 2018, more than 3,500 TCM clinics had been registered across the country, which is the same number of TCM clinics opened in the whole of last year, according to relevant data. In 2017, the total number of TCM health personnel in China reached 664,000, 51,000 more than the previous year. The total number of patients treated by TCM medical and health institutions reached 1.02 billion, an increase of 0.6 billion over the previous year. The above increase is an improvement over the average annual growth rate of 2016. The leading role of TCM in "preventing diseases", the synergistic role of TCM in the treatment of major diseases and the core role of TCM in disease rehabilitation show its advantages.In addition, since the introduction of the law on traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, with its unique advantages, has highlighted the new trend of the transformation of health concepts and medical models, and is stepping into more countries. Up to now, TCM has spread to 183 countries and regions in the world, and the Chinese government has signed special TCM cooperation agreements with over 40 foreign governments, international organizations and regional authorities. More and more countries have established the important status of TCM in their own countries through laws and regulations. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been included in the world health organization's international classification code (icd-11) for the first time. The Internet technology has been used to intelligently transform the internal medical service process of traditional Chinese medicine medical institutions, changing "running errands for the masses" into "information running", which has made people feel convenient to seek medical treatment.It can be said that the TCM law has greatly enhanced the service capacity of TCM and made TCM go global, providing a solid guarantee for accelerating the upgrading of TCM industry.
